What kind of items do you work on?
If it's got fabric and potential—we're here for it. Alterations of all kinds, Upholstery (recovering furniture, cushions, drapes, etc.), Repairs (jeans, backpacks, knit sweaters), Custom cut & sew projects (all materials need to be provided).
Do I need an appointment to bring something in?
Drop-ins are welcome during studio hours if you don't mind waiting for our availability. We stay unflappable, but if you have something unusual or high-priority, please book an appointment so we can be prepared.
What type of appointment should I book?
Oooo, we're excited to see you!
Drop-off Repair - when you don't need to try on, like a zipper replacement.
Formalwear Fitting - brides, bridesmaids, prom, suits, or special event pieces.
Measurement Consultation - when you need to talk through the possibilities of altering a garment.
Upholstery Consultation - to discuss an upholstery project. We'll offer advice on purchasing fabric and yardage and schedule a start date.
Small Batch Production Consultation - to discuss the possibilities of our cut & sew manufacturing services, for personal use or resale.
How long does it take?
We can usually be as fast as you need us to be (although same-day alterations are unlikely). Standard turnaround time for casualwear is 2 weeks, formalwear - 4 weeks, and upholstery - 5 weeks. If you need it back faster than that, we can usually rush your order for a fee.
Can you rush my order?
If our schedule allows, sure! Rush fees may apply. We won’t compromise quality, you'll just get ahead of the other orders in our que. We’ll always be honest about what’s possible.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on the complexity of the work. A standard trouser/pant hem is $18, if we need to recreate an outside cuff, it's $25. There's more on our Pricing Page.
Need a quote for something big or unique? Head over to our Inquiry Form. Send us a picture and description of the work you would like us to do and we’ll prepare you with a ballpark estimate.
What's the process for an upholstery project?
We start with an upholstery consultation appointment, where we discuss fabric options, timelines, and pricing. You can submit an inquiry with photos/details first and we'll respond with a quick note to let you know if the project is within our skillset. We don't handle full furniture restoration, so no replacing springs or webbing and no woodworking or caning. We can replace foam and batting, however.
You provide the upholstery fabric or order through us at these online upholstery fabric sources:
- www.Trivantage.com (outdoor and utility fabrics)
We don't offer pick-up or delivery service at this time. Clients will need to transport their pieces to and from the studio.

These projects get special attention and multiple touchpoints to ensure a flawless finish. Expect precision, collaboration, and zero cutting corners.
Do you make custom clothes?
Sometimes. We offer cut & sew services, which means you provide the materials (including appropriate fabric and hardware) and the paper pattern (sized correctly, alterations would be additional).
...Although, before creating a new garment from scratch, we suggest altering something that's close to what you're looking for.
We can duplicate a favorite article of clothing by creating our own pattern from the original. You would still need to provide appropriate fabric and materials for the new piece.
Book a Small Batch Production Consultation appointment to pitch it—we’ll let you know if it’s a good match.
Do you do embroidery?
Nope. But we can sew on embroidered patches.
